Dr. Rengyun Liu is a Professor of Medical Genetics at Sun Yat-sen University and Principal Investigator (PI) in the Institute of Precision Medicine at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Dr. Liu obtained his Ph.D. from Soochow University in 2012 and then entered the postdoctoral program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he received the “Young Investigator Award” in 2018. Dr. Liu joined The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in 2019. Dr Liu’s research group focuses on the genetic and epigenetic basis of thyroid cancer and their clinical translation, with the goal of precision diagnosis and therapy. He has published more than 40 peer review articles in journals including JAMA Oncology, JCO, JNCI, PNAS, and Nature Communications.
