Dr. Li is the Head of Department of Endocrinology, Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University, and the vice president of Chinese Diabetes Society. He is also an associate editor of Endocrine Reviews and Journal of Diabetes and Life Metabolism. His research interest is focused on obesity, fatty liver diseases and type 2 diabetes. He has published 130 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals, including Nature Medicine, Cell Metabolism, PNAS, J Clin Invest, Nature communications, JAMA Internal Medicine, Diabetes, Diabetes Care, Gut, Gastroenterology, J Hepatology, J Clin Endocrinol Metab etc.
