Professor and vice president at the Institute for Translational Brain Research (ITBR), Fudan University. Dr. Guo has been supported by grants from National Key R&D Program of China (chief scientist) and National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. Dr. Guo has been awarded State Council Government Special Allowance, Shanghai Leading Talents, Shanghai Excellent Academic Leader, Shanghai Women’s Innovation Award, and the title of March 8 Red-banner pacesetter.

Dr. Guo has been engaged in research on the mechanism of amino acid sensing and metabolic homeostasis regulation. As a corresponding author (including co-author), Dr. Guo has published over 40 research-related papers, including in Gastroenterology, Nature Communications, Autophagy and Diabetes (14 papers). Dr. Guo has been invited to publish review papers in Endocrine Reviews, Molecular Metabolism and other journals and given presentations at high-level international academic conferences such as Keystone meeting. Dr. Guo has directed over 30 grants from National Key R&D Program of China, National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and the Major Research Plan of NSFC. Dr. Guo is the deputy editor of Nutrition & Metabolism, the reviewer of Cell Metabolism, Nature Communications, Diabetes and other journals, and the deputy chairman of the Society of Endocrine and Metabolism of the Chinese Association of Pathophysiology and the director of several societies.
