Professor in Department of Life Sciences and Medicine. Principal Investigator of the Key Laboratory of Immune Response and Immunotherapy, the Key Laboratory of Natural Immunity and Chronic Diseases at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Key Laboratory of Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases in Anhui Province. Research has been focusing on the relationship between commensal microbiota and human diseases. As first and corresponding author, has been published in high-impact journals such as Nature, Nature Communications, Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Journal of Hepatology, and Gut. Findings were highlighted by international renowned journals such as Nature, Science, Cell, Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Cell Host Microbes, and Hepatology, and have been included in Faculty of 1000 and received the highest level of evaluation from two independent recommenders.
