Professor Zhu focuses on the mechanism and treatment of hypertension, metabolic syndrome and primary aldosteronism. Of special interest is the role of transient receptor potential (TRP) channels in the pathogenesis of cardiometabolic diseases. He is a fellow of American Heart Association and Fellow of International Society of Hypertension. He has published over 170 peer-reviewed papers. He serves on the editorial board of Hypertension, Eur J Physiol, and is currently an Associate Editor for Clin Sci and J Clin Hypertens.
