She graduated from China Medical University and received her PhD. She did postdoctoral research at Stanford University School of Medicine.

She is the director of the department of endocrinology and metabolism, the first hospital of China Medical University, the director of national key laboratory of thyroid disease diagnosis and treatment, the vice president of the Chinese Society of Endocrinology (CSE), and the vice president of Chinese Endocrinologist Association（CEA）.
