Dr. Yuhao Wang, a researcher who earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in the US, is currently a researcher at Zhejiang University School of Medicine and a dual-appointed professor at the First Affiliated Hospital. He has been selected for the National High-Level Youth Talent Program and Zhejiang University’s “Hundred Talents Program.” His research team is dedicated to exploring the symbiotic relationship and mutual interactions between the gut microbiota and the host, with a focus on investigating the molecular mechanisms by which the gut microbiota regulates host metabolism and immunity. His research findings have been published multiple times in top-tier international journals such as Science(2017, 2019, 2023) and Developmental Cell (2025), and have been highlighted and commented on by renowned journals on several occasions. One of his studies was recognized by the American Gastroenterological Association as one of the best gut microbiome studies of the year.
