Dr. Xu received her Medical Degree from Nanjing Medical University in 2006 and her Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2011. She did her post-doctoral training at Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine during 2012-2014. Her research focuses on epidemiology and prevention of cardiometabolic diseases. She has published major research findings as first or corresponding author in high-impact journals such as N Engl J Med, JAMA, BMJ, Lancet Diabetes Endocrinol, Lancet Public Health, etc. She has won national talent titles including the ‘Excellent Youth Scholar’ from the National Natural Science Foundation and ‘Top Young Scholar’ of National Ten Thousands Talent Program.
