Qidi Wang obtained MD degree at Shanghai Second Medical University, and later got master degree and Ph.D degree in Medical Science at the Diabetes Research Center of Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB) in Brussels, Belgium. Afterwards, she continued her career by combing the clinic work with beta cell research studies inDepartment of Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases in Ruijin hospital and was appointed as Chief Physician/professor and PI of Beta cell Research Group. She focused on metabolic/epigenetic regulation of beta cell identity and function, which led to 6 grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China and published more than 20 research articles on top journals, such as Nature Communications, Diabetes,Diabetologia,JCEM, etc.
