•Dr. XIAO Haipeng  is a Professor of Medicine, Doctoral Supervisor, Recipient of Special Allowance by the State Council, and Member of the Discipline Assessment Group, Academic Degree Commission of the State Council，Chief Scientist of Noncommunicable Chronic Diseases-National Science and Technology Major Project

•He is also President  of  The  First  Affiliated  Hospital,  SYSU,  and  Chief  Consultant  of Endocrinology.

•Dr. Xiao once served as Vice President, China Endocrine and Metabolism Association, Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and now he is Vice Chairman, Guangdong Medical Association, and Expert of China Modern Hospital Management Think Tank.

•Dr.  Xiao has long been dedicated to exploring novel approaches for the early intervention of diabetes, advancing the application of artificial intelligence in the field of endocrine and metabolic diseases, and conducting both basic and clinical research on the pathogenesis of thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules. Dr. Xiao has led several major research projects, including National Science and Technology Major Project, the State Key Program of National Natural Science of China and grants of Ministry or Provincial levels. His academic findings have been published in prestigious international journals such as BMJ, Lancet Digital Health, Cell Research, Nature Communications, Diabetologia, JCEM, Thyroid, and Molecular Therapy. He was awarded the First Prize of the Guangdong Science & Technology Progress Award.
